Dear Teachers and Students,

We are delighted to announce the 6th KidWind Challenge in Asia! At this year’s World KidWind Challenge in the USA, our Asia teams earned both the high school and elementary world championships, receiving congratulations from Taiwan President, Vice President, and the Premier—a testament to our teams’ excellence and the high quality of the KidWind Challenge in Asia selection process.

This year’s competition, co-guided by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education and the Energy Administration, highlights our dedication to promoting green energy education. As nations confront environmental challenges and energy shortages, Taiwan is actively advancing new energy policies to achieve energy transition goals. With limited natural energy resources, Taiwan faces even greater challenges in developing sustainable technologies, making education and student participation more vital than ever.

For over 15 years, the nonprofit KidWind organization has championed renewable energy education through hands-on activities and competitions. The KidWind Challenge helps elementary, middle, and high school students explore wind energy, fostering creativity and problem-solving skills. Teachers integrate these concepts into classrooms, inspiring students to tackle real-world challenges and apply sustainable solutions.

Building on last year’s success—which attracted 80 teams from Taiwan and 5 from Thailand—this year’s competition will continue to encourage innovation and deepen energy literacy. New features include:

🔹 Wind Tunnel Measurement Update: Token-based scheduling replaces team-number order, giving teams flexibility and aligning with the World KidWind Challenge.
🔹 New Final Round Challenge: Two wind tunnels—medium-low and medium-high wind speeds—test teams’ adaptability in different wind conditions.

We invite international schools and students to join this exciting event and help build a sustainable future through creativity and innovation!

We look forward to your participation!
