iBridge Cup Bridge Design and Load Test Competition
The iBridge Cup Bridge Load and Innovative Design Competition originates from the International Bridge Competition in the United States. Participants use balsa wood strips to construct bridge structures, which are then subjected to load testing to calculate the maximum load capacity of the bridge. This value is divided by the bridge's weight to determine the structural efficiency, which decides the winner.
The competition is divided into high school and middle school categories, with final selections determining the top teams. The performance of the competing teams was outstanding, on par with international competitors, showcasing exceptional skill and talent. Many impressive bridge designs emerged during the competition, and the participants' creativity and unique thinking were truly admirable.
