October 4th, 2025
Co-organized by our association, the "2025 KidWind Challenge in Asia" South District Preliminaries were grandly held at the National Science and Technology Museum. Under the guidance of the Kaohsiung City Government Education Bureau, the event was jointly hosted by the National Science and Technology Museum and the Republic of China Army Officer Academy, bringing together 31 teams (16 in the high school group and 15 in the elementary group). Participants ignited the green energy revolution with creative wind turbine designs. Within five hours, students repeatedly adjusted blade angles, resistance values, and gear ratios through wind tunnel tests, undaunted by challenges like motor overloads or circuit failures, in pursuit of optimal power generation performance. This fully demonstrated the STEAM education spirit of scientific inquiry, engineering practice, and team collaboration.
The South District Preliminaries were fiercely competitive, with advancing teams heading to the National Taiwan Normal University Gongguan Campus to compete alongside winners from the North and Central Districts, as well as elite teams from Asian countries, marching toward the 2026 U.S. World Championship! Our association hereby announces the South District award list. Congratulations to all green energy heroes—your creativity and passion have written a new chapter for a sustainable future!
