Dear Members, Teachers, and Parents,
To popularize STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and deepen students' understanding of green energy technology, the Asia-Pacific Energy & Science Education Association (AESEA) is honored to be invited once again to co-organize the "2026 New Taipei City STEM Scientific Research, Mathematics, Information, and Intelligent Robot Competition" alongside the New Taipei City Sanchong District Office and Ger-Jyh Senior High School.
The event will take place on Sunday, March 29, 2026. Unlike traditional competitions, this event adopts a unique "Workshop First, Competition Second" educational model. This allows students to transform scientific principles into practical results on-site under professional guidance. We sincerely invite students interested in green energy and structural engineering to form teams and accept the challenge!
For this competition, AESEA has specially helped plan two highlight categories emphasizing "hands-on practice" and "engineering thinking." To lower the barrier to entry and allow creativity to flow freely, all necessary materials and equipment will be provided by the organizers:
1. 🌪️ KidWind Wind Energy Creative Invitational (AESEA Top Pick)
【Eligibility】: Elementary School Group, Junior/Senior High Mixed Group (3 students per team, max 20 teams per group).
【Highlights】: This category integrates AESEA's professional resources, inheriting the maker spirit of "Learning by Doing." Participants will challenge themselves on-site with:
Blade Design: Using physics knowledge to design high-efficiency wind turbine blades.
Wind Tunnel Testing: Experiencing the complete scientific research process by testing the blades in a professional wind tunnel to measure actual power generation.
This is the ultimate stage to verify green energy knowledge. Scoring will comprehensively consider "Blade Creativity" and "Actual Power Generation".
2. 🌉 VSMT Bridge Structural Load Competition
【Eligibility】: Elementary School Group, Junior/Senior High Mixed Group (2 students per team, max 20 teams per group).
【Highlights】: The ultimate display of engineering mechanics! Competitors must apply mechanical principles to design and build a bridge structure with the best "load-bearing capacity" on-site, within limited time and material constraints, challenging the limits of structural stability.
Date: March 29, 2026 (Sunday) 08:30 - 16:30
Location: Ger-Jyh Senior High School (No. 96, Dazhi St., Sanchong Dist., New Taipei City)
Eligibility: Priority is given to public and private elementary (middle/high grade), junior high, and senior high school students in Taipei City, New Taipei City, Keelung City, and Taoyuan City. Teams from other counties are also welcome to register.
Registration Deadline: From now until February 26, 2026 (Thursday). Spots are limited and late registrations will not be accepted.
Event Fee: NT$ 400 per person (includes lunch), payable on-site at check-in.
Awards:
All participants who complete the event will receive a Participation Certificate from the Sanchong District Office (enriching your learning portfolio).
Winning teams in each group will be awarded certificates and STEM Scientific Research Creative Medals.
Online registration only. Please fill out the form on the dedicated page on the Ger-Jyh High School website: 👉 Click here to go to the registration page
