To expand the influence of green energy science education and discover local potential talent, the Asia-Pacific Energy & Science Education Association (APESEA) partnered with Yu Da University of Science and Technology on September 14th to host the "Kidwind Miaoli Workshop." The event was designed to provide a professional pre-competition training camp for teams from National Miaoli Agricultural & Industrial Vocational High School, Chun-Yi Senior High School, and Chung Hsing Industrial & Commercial Vocational High School, who are challenging the "Kidwind Challenge in Asia" for the first time.
To ensure effective learning, the association appointed Supervisor Wu Ming-De as the keynote speaker to provide in-depth explanations on the core principles of wind turbine blade design. The association also provided its self-developed "MiniWind energy kits" for students to engage in hands-on practice, allowing them to gain a profound, practical understanding of the mysteries of wind power generation.
The Secretary-General of the association stated that Kidwind is a benchmark global competition that tests students' integrated STEM abilities, and the association is delighted to see the participation of teams from Miaoli. He expressed the association's hope that this systematic training will help students showcase their creativity and skills in the Asia League and bring honor to Taiwan. This successful collaboration with Yu Da University has also laid a solid foundation for green energy education in the local community.
