Our Association, together with the Taipei City STEAM and New Technology Development Office and Taipei Municipal Zhongshan Girl High School, welcomed a distinguished delegation from Indonesia’s BINUS University and chairpersons of 25 prominent educational foundations, accompanied by over ten major media outlets, highlighting the international impact of Taiwan-Indonesia educational exchange.
The event, held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at Zhongshan Girls’ High School, centered on promoting STEAM education and the “KidWind Challenge in Asia” Distinguished guests included Professor Zhou Jianheng, Chairman of the Asia-Pacific Energy & Science Education Association; Principal Zhang Yunfen of Zhongshan Girl High School (also Director of the STEAM Office); Taipei City Education Bureau representative Zeng Boji; BINUS University CEO Bernard Gunawan; and Vice President Harjanto Prabowo, among others.
Professor Zhou introduced the “KidWind Challenge in Asia,” an international student contest integrating scientific inquiry and renewable energy applications. The competition encourages students to design wind power models, fostering innovation and sustainable energy thinking. He warmly invited Indonesian students and teachers to participate in the Asia event on November 1–2, 2025, to promote international exchange. Principal Zhang shared Zhongshan Girl High School’s innovative experiences in cross-disciplinary STEAM curricula, showcasing Taipei’s achievements in advancing technology education.
During the symposium, both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on STEAM education models and future collaboration, laying the foundation for long-term partnerships. The Indonesian delegation, comprising 25 educational foundation chairpersons and media representatives from outlets like Kompas and Tempo, reflected the diversity and influence of Indonesia’s education and media sectors. This visit not only elevated the international visibility of the Association and the KidWind Competition but also opened a new chapter in Taiwan-Indonesia educational cooperation.
