The 2024 KidWind Challenge in Asia for Senior Group has successfully concluded! 🎉 This year's competition was intense and challenging among teams. During the design and construction of their wind turbines, each team faced the new challenge of creating an innovative, directional wind tracking design within a 100cm x 100cm size limit.
This year, we were especially excited to welcome the first-ever team from Thailand! Their impressive creativity and skill brought new highlights to the competition.
Additionally, a new design challenge was introduced this year requiring teams to adjust for a 90-degree shift in wind direction, making the competition even tougher. Many teams experienced failures or lower scores during the first measurements. However, they demonstrated determination, tirelessly modifying their designs during the lunch break, and many achieved significant improvements on their second try. Their dedication to identifying and solving problems left a deep impression on us all.
Let’s give a round of applause to the winning teams for their outstanding performance! 👏
🥇 Gold: Y07
🥈 Silver: Y06, Y08
🥉 Bronze: Y09, Y26, Y27
🏅 Honorable Mentions: Y17, Y18, Y23, Y24, Y30
🏆 Judge’s Award: Y11
🏅 Asia-Pacific STEM Education Award: Y15
Congratulations again to all the winning teams! We appreciate their hard work and creativity, and we look forward to seeing even more innovative wind energy designs in the future to bring new possibilities to our energy landscape! 🌍💨💨
